It's a song about warmth that stays in your memory for a long time

It's a song about warmth that stays in your memory for a long time. When a couple goes their separate ways and the conflict subsides, forgiveness, recognition of mistakes, gratitude emerges, warmth remains in the memory and within. This is how the band’s leader Vaidotas Valiukevičius told about the song through his personal experience.

For video director Saulius Baradinskas this video clip is personally very dear. At the moment, there are changes in Vaidotas' life, so director wanted to make sense of and document a different Vaidotas, whom the vast majority don't see - when he leaves the stage, he is alone, serious and reflective.

This year has been extremely productive for The Roop. The group released a new album "Concrete Flower" on digital music platforms, CD and vinyl record format, had many concerts both in Lithuania and abroad and released three music videos. "Šiluma" became the fourth, which marked a new stage for the group.

Surround yourself with people who support and encourage you

Vaidotas: Surround yourself with people who support and encourage you. That's what I try to do.

True story. One of the people in my environment is @sauliusbaradinskas. He is from the circle that supported me even in 2017, when I was unemployed, I had no money at all, when I began to doubt my chosen musical path, when I felt like a crumpled piece of candy wrapper. Without any content, eaten, empty and useless.

He supports even now, when there are changes in life. Knowing me, he sensitively conveyed the emotion in the video "Šiluma" and during the filming he hugged me, made ne laugh, if necessary, took care of me in every way. Thank you, Saulius, for your big heart!❤️

Cherish your supportive friends! And I invite you to watch the new music video "Šiluma".

Acoustic Warmth?

We are thinking about an acoustic version of "Šiluma". Or maybe a whole concert? What do you think?

Thanks to the whole amazing team! ❤️🍂

A day has passed since the release of "Šiluma". We received a lot of messages praising the song, admitting that it’s relatable, saying wow about video, and a lot of warmth. Thank you for that!

But we wouldn't have done it alone. It's so good to work with like-minded people and professionals!

First of all, not only us, but also the wonderful @vytautasbikus and @plucando sat by the sound of the song and the long scratching with great patience.

Vaidotas’ close friends @beata.tiskevic and @sauliusbaradinskas decided to contribute to the conceptual and visual side of the music video. Saulius directed the video very professionally.

@weareturbo with producer @janusauskas organized the whole smooth shoot.

@evaldasarlauskas very precisely combined the camera angles and the editing of the video.

@turbonaite captured everything that happened with a photo camera.

@roberta.kucinskaite has found the most suitable combinations of clothes.

@ruta.padvelskyte and @austeja.makeup took care of our faces.

Thanks to the whole amazing team! ❤️🍂

Warmth

Such a situation where it seems that you want to scream, but the words get stuck in your throat. When you want to go, but you sit down because your head is spinning from memories and the uncertainty of the future. Most of the time, the transition to a new stage is accompanied by some pain.

The sea cannot always be rough, just like life, it calms down, the sun comes out again and here comes the WARMTH.

New song and video "Šiluma" (Warmth). This Friday, October 21.

Time For Changes

We are leaving. Changes always lead to interesting things. We became independent musicians. What does this mean? We will be operating without Lithuanian management at this time. This is not new to us and it is not a spontaneous decision. We realized that three members of the group can cover all the work (at least for the time being). We are currently working on Lithuanian songs, and we will present one of them on October 21. Event organizers are welcome to contact us directly at info@theroop.com

Friendship

We value our friendship. Realizing that we are all different, we try to accept it.

Vaidotas: I experienced it myself and realized that...

👉You won't achieve anything new by being afraid to leave your comfort zone. Comfort (especially long term) is a dream killer.

👉The most important pleasure lies in the process, on the way to the goal, not the goal itself. If you don't know how to enjoy every small step or even difficulty, you won't reach your goal. Or even after achieving it, you will still feel unhappy.

👉Various crises can not only destroy what is important to you, but at the same time it opens up many new, previously unthinkable opportunities.

👉Disrespecting yourself, being silent when you want to scream and say that it's not right for you - you won't go far in peace.

👉A person does not grow old when a mathematical number increases, but when he/she does not want to learn, understand new things, when his/her enthusiasm disappears.

👉You should not be afraid of your attractiveness (physical appearance). Yes, you read that right. Especially that fear ("after all, only the amount of knowledge is important") manifests itself in really intelligent people who have written off simple physicality to the lowest level, because it has no meaning. It has. Of course, I'm not talking about extreme overexposure.

👉It's normal to make mistakes. It's not how many times you fall, but how many times you get up.

"Multiply" Music Video Out Now

"The Roop" premiere: our drummer sings! And in the "Multiply" video clip, we put images of behind-the-scenes, trips and concerts that took place during the year. We share our light and positivity.

In addition to our native country of Lithuania, we presented our musical program to the audiences of Italy, Germany, Poland, Great Britain, Spain, Latvia and Estonia.

Have a good vibe!

#10 "Multiply" Story

Let’s talk about the 10th song from our album “Concrete Flower”. This is the first song to feature another member of the band singing. Robertas, who usually sits behind the drumset or records a bass part, now picks up the microphone.
Robertas starts the song and later he is joined by Vaidotas - we really like this duet ourselves.

We recall the moment when Robertas sent over his demo vocals part. At first the line “One-body-da-ooooh” seemed to have some strange resemblance to a Lithuanian folk motif “Ram-ta-drylia-opapa”.
Hours later Vaidotas and Mantas found the part still stuck in their heads, so it was decided to leave it the way it was. The song concludes the album inviting everyone to share light.

#inspiredbytheroop

Did you know that in the "Concrete Flower" CD booklet you will find not only stories about each song, photos, but also started drawings that we invite you to finish yourself! Free your imagination and share with #inspiredbytheroop hashtag.

Now we share our own drawings. As you can see, these do not necessarily have to be gallery-worthy works. It's not about that. The most important thing is the feeling and the pleasure of drawing.
