THE ROOP introduces new song and goes to “Positivus” festival

“The Roop“ received an official invitation to participate in one of the biggest festivals in the Baltic region “Positivus”, which this year takes place on July 15-17 in Salacgrīva, Latvia. The guys will play on the “I Love You” stage where, by tradition, new musical discoveries are presented. Exactly here a few years ago an Estonian then new super band “Ewert and The Two Dragons” attracted public‘s attention.

“It is great honor participating in a festival like that. We are already anxious to get on the stage” – band’s leader Vaidotas smiles.

At the moment “The Roop” introduces a new radio single “Come Back” from a recent debut album “To Whom It May Concern”. You can listen to the album on Pakartot.lt and Spotify or buy it on Bandcamp.

“It is time to publicly present this song. It’s a charge of energy with a chorus that sticks in your head” – said drummer Robertas.

Listen to the song with visuals from a live show:

THE ROOP gained recognition in Poland

THE ROOP recently returned from Warsaw. They were invited to support Poland’s mega band COMA.

“The show was sold out. The audience gave a really warm welcome to our performance. We found connection with them. We are still getting messages from people who attended the show, saying that they liked us and that they’d wait for us in Poland again. This inspires.” - shared his impressions drummer Robertas.

Band’s leader Vaidotas was also extremely impressed with the super band COMA itself.

“This band contains so much energy and variety of styles that it seems that you’re listening to Chopin’s and Adam Mickiewicz’s polka, all ran through a guitar amp.”

Today THE ROOP introduces their new radio single “74 Miles” from a recent debut album “To Whom It May Concern”. This is a song about returning home, about the excitement when you know someone is waiting for you.

The guys found some reasearch information on the internet about the distance to home at which a person gets the feeling that he’s close and the desire to reach the goal rises. The answer was you get the feeling 74 miles to home.

“I do not know if this is undeniable truth, but I was fascinated by the metaphor of the number which we used in our song” - told Vaidotas.

Now you can listen to the latest song.

Music video presenting Lithuanian band “The Roop” – the first in the world

Their first live show, great responses from the audience, a lot of time spent in the studio and the shooting of an extraordinary video – a summary of an intense summer, which resulted in a new song and the video “Not Too Late” from Lithuanian pop rockers, “The Roop”.

The newest work of “The Roop” is a dedication to a charming and childish naivety where only dreams, joy and fantasies matter. “It is never too late to be a child and there is no need to rush to become serious. Leave yourself some time to dream!” – is the idea of the song presented by the band members.

The video of “Not Too Late” contains the latest technologies in video shooting and allows the viewer to undergo a whole new experience in video watching” – intrigues “The Roop”.

What they and the team of the “Wide Wings” creative studio did is a combination of two complex technologies in one music video – 360 degree shooting and animation. Therefore, today “The Roop” can be proud of becoming the first ones in the whole world to have this type of music video with their song “Not Too Late”.

“A 360-degree view is a transition to the next level of music videos, where we’ll all have a chance to not only view a music video, but to also be participants of it” – says the head of the “Wide Wings” creative studio, and together with “The Roop”, invites everyone to become a part of a new world of visual possibilities.
