“Hello” – brand new video about people who dared to change

PREMIERE! Introducing a video about people who dared to be happy. We wish you find your own path. May your dreams become your aspirations.

“Hello, hello in the background, it’s time to shine, don’t let your hands down”- in the new single by “The ROOP” the band’s leader Vaidotas encourages everyone to dare living the life you want and not be afraid to dream.

The musician noticed that rather often fear or stereotypes prevent you from reaching your ambitions. The goal of “Hello” is to deny the clichés and inspire reaching your dreams fearlessly. This song is the first from the upcoming second album planned to be released next spring.

The video stars 6 individuals who decided to introduce their life stories. Among the “heroes” –  a girl who loves another girl, a guy who founded a farm animal shelter and appeared along with probably the happiest chicken in Lithuania, yoga teacher who quit his job in advertising, lady who lost couple of dozens of kilograms, artist girl who creates painting out of unusual objects, and twins - brought up in a child care home who now are famous painters.

The band already appeared in the biggest festival in the Baltics - “Positivus”, and introduced their album to the audiences of Poland, Germany and other European states. “The ROOP’s” tunes are played on the radio not only in the Baltics, but also in France, Belgium, Germany, Australia, USA, Brazil and other countries of the world.

Acoustic concert in Germany

It was a wonderful trip! Huge thanks to Vokietijos Lietuvių Jaunimo Sąjunga for the invitation and to everyone who came for amazing emotions! This acoustic concert in Annaberg manor will stick in our memory for a long time. See you again in Germany!

Before leaving for Vilnius we visited Ludwig van Beethoven's hometown Bonn. Posing next to Ludwig's statue and the house where he lived.

Donate blood

Vaidotas and Mantas invite everyone to join blood donation activity. This saves lives. This is important. Visit National Blood Center, Santariškės Blood Center (Lithuania) or any place where you can donate blood or its components.

Be happy!

Would you dare spending 10 DAYS without phone, without computer, without TV, without radio, without music, without any reading nor writing, speaking, communicating in any way with other people, dancing, laughing deeply and loudly, without your own food nor hidden sweets, being away from the city buzz, isolated in a small area where men and women walk on different sides? Just be with yourself, be inside yourself, wake up at 4 AM each morning and meditate for 10 hours a day. The band’s lead singer Vaidotas just had this experience. He returned from Vipassana meditation camp. What happens to a person who stays silently with himself and the nature for 10 days? Beautiful things happen! You start clearing the inside of your head. We often clean houses, wash out bodies, but our thoughts and the whole consciousness and subconsciousness remains only passingly wiped (if wiped at all). Often we are unable to process all of the information we receive and we keep stuffing ourselves with new dose of information. Again and again over the years. The Vipassana meditation is not an escape from life, but rather on the contrary – life’s perception, cleanness of thoughts to see the things the way they are, without illusions or prejudice. This is a universal technique which is not classified as any belief or -ism. This is the understanding of reality. Vaidotas realized that he wants to share this with everyone and invites you to visit http://www.dhamma.org/ website to learn more and, if possible, register for the next 10 day courses. Vaidotas wishes all responsibility and happiness!

Believe in humanity

THE ROOP band’s leader Vaidotas: “I believe in humanity. I believe that most people who’d learn about the backstage of fur or meat industry would understand they want alternatives that do not harm animals, but allow enjoying them alive. I want to thank Otwarte Klatki and Tušti narvai organizations who joined forces into a common activity – Open Cages . Thank you for Otwarte Klatki t-shirt that symbolizes my personal support. I invite you all to get familiar with what these organizations do. It is very interesting and meaningful. Thank you.”

Baltic Way - 27 years

Celebrating 27 years since people of occupied Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia decided to show their united wish to be free. They joined in a human chain holding hands all across the Baltic States symbolically separating them from the Soviet Union. More than 2 million people took part. This is unbelievable and even now shivers run down your body while listening to this inspiring song which is like the revival anthem of the Baltic States.

International Missing Type

Have you recently noticed missing letters in logos or social media sites of some institutions or companies? These are the ones that agreed to remove letters A, B, O (ABO – blood group system) from public spaces. This year the campaign became international (“International Missing Type”) and involved a number of countries. Lithuania was not an exception. Neither was THE ROOP band. Have you ever voluntarily given blood? Read the article for more information about the campaign. Thank you Nacionalinis kraujo centras for the initiative! WE ARE ALL AS ONE.

“Positivus” festival injected extra motivation to move forward!

We can boldly state that “Positivus” festival was great! We cannot hide we went there with slight worry of not knowing how all is going to be. Alongside us there were more Lithuanians – Markas Palubenka and Daddy Was A Milkman. As far as we have heard, their shows went perfectly! We spent all Saturday listening to all sorts of live music, tasting different foods. Lead singer Vaidotas was pleased to find vegan options.

On Sunday we climbed the stage of new discoveries – “I Love You” stage. The challenge was that each band had to attract their audience, because concerts take place on multiple stages and people migration is rapid. The show started. It was exciting to see people gathering at the stage after first chords.

The crowd was really warm and welcoming. Exchange of energy took place. We found the connection which turned into friendship. They supported us, repeated the lyrics, danced and seen us off the stage with huge applause. We are fascinated by such reception. These are the moments when you realizing that it is worth rehearsing, recording and playing live.

Thank you, Bar I Love YouPositivus Festival and the crowd for this experience. Next – GalapagaiGRANATOS LIVE and other festivals.
