What’s happening? What are THE ROOP doing? We want share our daily routine. Lately we have stopped all interviews, they would not end, and the time until the trip is limited. All of our energy is concentrated towards the preparation for Eurovision in Rotterdam. First of all, we fill out all of the required documents, submit information. We receive countless queries regarding concerts and various collaborations. Even reviewing all of the offers takes hours. You constantly ask how can you support us and send us money. We are launching crowdfunding very shortly so everyone would be able to help us get ready to represent Lithuania. So far everything is going as planned. Don’t be frightened when our song is jumping up and down in the odds – this is a normal process. Do not cling to all kinds of top charts. What’s important now is support and unity. And don’t forget to be ON FIRE in your everyday personal life!
Fire and calmness
Only by being calm you can control the fire so that it would not burn you but make you warm.

THE ROOP are ready to conquer Eurovision
After successful appearance in 2018 Eurovision Song Contest National Selection THE ROOP were constantly asked about participating again. According to the band those questions strengthened their decision to return to the competition even more. Two years after “Yes, I Do” THE ROOP are introducing their brand-new Eurovision song – “On Fire”.
“This year’s song is about something I carried within and observed around myself. It’s about writing yourself off too quickly. We are underestimating ourselves too often. We think we don’t meet some standards or that we are uninteresting, too young, too old.” – said leader of the band Vaidotas Valiukevičius - Naive.
While talking to one music producer, Vaidotas learned that rather often people in their early twenties come to producers but declare feeling too old to achieve something. The singer believes that the youth cult is too big and inadequate.
“People in their thirties already feel untimely aged and hopeless. I believe this is not normal. I faced such thoughts myself, but I strived to change my approach to things, put more energy into my activities than I did when I was 20. With this song I wish to send my listeners confidence and good vibes. We are all capable of being who we want, when we want, and age is not important” – told Vaidotas.
According to the band, the name of the song “On Fire” means being in the state of excitement, feeling passionate, engaged and full of energy.
The vibrant music video was produced by director Indrė Juškutė and cinematographer Adomas Jablonskis.
“We are often observed by others as if through a magnifying glass, we search for ourselves in reflections of other people, in the public opinion, in gazes of strangers, and most frequently the image is incomplete, crooked. But when you gain confidence reflections become nothing but a game” – director Indrė describes the idea of the video.
Members of THE ROOP, if asked whether they are ready to represent Lithuania, boldly say “yes”. Their strengths – age, experience, the team and professionalism. THE ROOP’s first appearance in the Eurovision Song Contest Lithuanian National Selection show is on January 25th on LRT.

Vaidotas tapo KAUNAS 2022 Kultūros Sostinės Ambasadoriumi
Vaidotas: Labai džiaugiuosi tapęs Kaunas 2022 Kultūros Sostinės Ambasadoriumi ir prisijungęs prie jau esamų rato. Užaugau Kauno rajone ir visą vaikystę bei paauglystę dažnai leisdavau Kauno centre. Man patinka, kad šis miestas, turintis nuostabią istoriją ir architektūrą - išlaikęs daug gotikos ir gausiai nusėtas bauhaus pastatais, tampa vis didesniu traukos centru. Vaikščiodamas senamiesčiu, negaliu nesišypsoti, kai matau laisvus ir išraiškingus jaunus žmones. Be abejo, kiekvienas miestas turi ir savo iššūkių, tačiau labai mums reikia išmokti pasidžiaugti. O čia straipsnis, kuriame apie viską šiek tiek plačiau. 🙏
Naujas singlas "Dance With Your Hands"
Daina pavasariui - "Dance With Your Hands" jau iškeliavo į radijo stotis. Jeigu jautiesi įstrigęs, nuliūdęs, nežinai, ko nori, tiesiog pradėk šokt rankomis. Svarbiausia judėk!
Today we return to the Eurovision scene as a guest
"Yes, I Do" sounded a little different during Eurovision selection. It was pleasant hearing the audience clap during choruses without being artificially asked to. Here's the video of the performance.
Our video participating in the first VRrOOm XR Music Video Festival!
Although 3 years have passed since the release of the virtual music video for "Not Too Late". It is currently participating in the first VRrOOm XR Music Video Festival! "Not Too Late" was one of the first, if not the first, music video in the world to combine 360 video and animation techniques.
THE ROOP Deny That D. Trump and V. Putin Became Main Characters of Their New Music Video
Lithuanian band THE ROOP introduces a controversial music video for their single “Silly Me” which might interest the world. The band publishes their intriguing piece of work, and scriptwriter who is also THE ROOP’s leader Vaidotas Valiukevičius tells about the idea.
“The main theme revolves around two men who fall for each other however are unable to show it publicly because of the public opinion and their high positions. How can they be together? What’s more important, passion or duty?” – Vaidotas asks rhetorically.
More attentive viewers will find many subtopics, various details or connections to real events. Main characters Nalddo and Tinpu might resemble the President of USA Donald Trump and the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. However, members THE ROOP want to warn you that all characters and situations are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real people or events might stimulate new ideas and outlooks which the band invites not to be afraid of.
“Of course, we cannot completely isolate ourselves from the surrounding world and its events. Naturally it might stir into creativity,” – said Vaidotas.
Distinctive animation was created by Meinart Animation Studio, which exclusively specializes in animation for seven years now. The creative team boldly takes on unconventional tasks, and also dedicates time to social projects. One of their short films LOOK, which talks about the consequences of pollution, has already visited more than 100 festivals around the globe.
“I will confess that I was really impressed by the bold script and concept of “Silly Me”. It is an exceptional video, and we had absolute creative freedom making it! That seldom happens so we invested all of our energy into the video. And, thanks to the whole team, something great and different came out of it”, - says the founder of the animation studio Meinardas Valkevičius.
The illustrator and director of the video Eglė Palubeckytė claims that the chosen style meets the ironic plot of the video. Cartoony characters, fulfilled settings and vibrant colors really conveys the lives of two personas and makes the song even more colorful.

About 2018
This picture best represents our 2018. Even though at the beginning we told ourselves that participating in Lithuania's Eurovision National Selection was "lame", that "this was not our audience" and that "no one would understand us", eventually we made a good decision to dare ourselves to participate in this competition. It turned our year into a "Yes, I Do" year. We released an EP with the same title. We were who we were, never tried adjusting to some format. Maybe that was noticed. 2018 allowed us to meet people in different cities across Lithuania. We played a lot of concerts. Of course, we have been to San Francisco where we also had a wonderful show. Soon 2019 starts, and it will bring our listeners many very good and interesting things. We are working on it. We are skipping Eurovision this year. Next year? Maybe. By the way, we are releasing a new video in January. We can only say that it's going to be intriguing, different, multilayered. And just maybe it will carry the message further than Lithuania.

Visiting GOLD FM
Vaidotas: First time at GOLD FM radio. Warm people working in a cozy place. Hence a cozy conversation with Živilė about life, THE ROOP and the upcoming concerts. Show airs this Friday 10 AM.
We are 4 years old!
We remember the day we sent the press release with our first tune "Be Mine" to the media. Hands were shaking and you could feel this lump in your throat. Will anyone publish it, and if they will, will anyone like it? And that's when everything started and gained acceleration. First video, first concert, first interview, first festival, first concert trip abroad, first album. We are truly thankful to our relatives, friends, and all the people who listen to our music, whom we meet in our shows, who write us and always supports us. Today THE ROOP is a solid band with future vision and plans. This is just the beginning!
