Memories from London. It was AMAZING!🖖🖖
👉You won't achieve anything new by being afraid to leave your comfort zone. Comfort (especially long term) is a dream killer.
👉The most important pleasure lies in the process, on the way to the goal, not the goal itself. If you don't know how to enjoy every small step or even difficulty, you won't reach your goal. Or even after achieving it, you will still feel unhappy.
👉Various crises can not only destroy what is important to you, but at the same time it opens up many new, previously unthinkable opportunities.
👉Disrespecting yourself, being silent when you want to scream and say that it's not right for you - you won't go far in peace.
👉A person does not grow old when a mathematical number increases, but when he/she does not want to learn, understand new things, when his/her enthusiasm disappears.
👉You should not be afraid of your attractiveness (physical appearance). Yes, you read that right. Especially that fear ("after all, only the amount of knowledge is important") manifests itself in really intelligent people who have written off simple physicality to the lowest level, because it has no meaning. It has. Of course, I'm not talking about extreme overexposure.
👉It's normal to make mistakes. It's not how many times you fall, but how many times you get up.
YES! Our long awaited first LP is finally here! It includes not only the record, but also a poster and stories about each song. We had to endure 4 months in the production queue.
Everyone who has already purchased or will purchase the “Concrete Flower” LP (Vinyl) by this Saturday (October 1, 2022) will receive it signed by all the band members!
The album consists of 10 tracks, among them - "On Fire", "Discoteque", "Love Is All We Got".
The Autumn is for finding calmness within yourself. Be proud of yourself for all the progress no one else notices. You know how far you've come, how much work it took and how much you've grown as a person.
"The Roop" premiere: our drummer sings! And in the "Multiply" video clip, we put images of behind-the-scenes, trips and concerts that took place during the year. We share our light and positivity.
In addition to our native country of Lithuania, we presented our musical program to the audiences of Italy, Germany, Poland, Great Britain, Spain, Latvia and Estonia.
Have a good vibe!
Let’s talk about the 10th song from our album “Concrete Flower”. This is the first song to feature another member of the band singing. Robertas, who usually sits behind the drumset or records a bass part, now picks up the microphone.
Robertas starts the song and later he is joined by Vaidotas - we really like this duet ourselves.
We recall the moment when Robertas sent over his demo vocals part. At first the line “One-body-da-ooooh” seemed to have some strange resemblance to a Lithuanian folk motif “Ram-ta-drylia-opapa”.
Hours later Vaidotas and Mantas found the part still stuck in their heads, so it was decided to leave it the way it was. The song concludes the album inviting everyone to share light.
Do not let the socials and what everyone else is doing rush you. Go at a pace that brings you peace. Have a nice day!
Did you know that in the "Concrete Flower" CD booklet you will find not only stories about each song, photos, but also started drawings that we invite you to finish yourself! Free your imagination and share with #inspiredbytheroop hashtag.
Now we share our own drawings. As you can see, these do not necessarily have to be gallery-worthy works. It's not about that. The most important thing is the feeling and the pleasure of drawing.
It may seem that the life of musicians is only concerts, trips, photoshoots, parties. Unfortunately, not only.
A lot of the time we just sit, write, search and record. Very often we erase everything and start again. And so day after day.
For several days now, Vaidotas realized, we haven't posted anything. But is there anything to post here? We thought there was. This is our reality. We have captured at least the last 3 days.
We often sit at home and send each other ideas, share moods through photos. And those moods are different.
Concerts and public participation make up about 1% of our activity. 99% of work is invisible to public eyes, but it is that work which brings that percentage of success.
About the 9th song from our new album “Concrete Flower”. The song “Every Second” is like a sequel to “On Fire” where we boldly state that even if others say that we are out of date or in a situation of doom and gloom, we will still go our way. We heard many different opinions about us, but they were not justified. Of course, it required great confidence in our ideas and inner strength not to give in to the influence of others. That’s why we wish to inspire our listeners not to lose their way and not to wait until someone gives you the right to live. Live your life to the fullest here and now, every minute, every second.
P.S. Don’t forget to have fun and sometimes to be funny.
On September 2, we are coming to the Polish city of Gdansk! 🇵🇱 For the first time, we appeared on the stage of "Wilno w Gdansku" in 2016. We had only recently started THE ROOP's concert activities. We remember that even then we received a very warm welcome.
We are coming back after 6 years with our hearts full of the best feelings. Such cultural exchange events enrich not only the audience but also the participants. Everyone gets new impressions, gets a better feel about the country, broadens the perception of a more diverse world.
Our concerts are not only about playing our setlist, but more about getting to know the audience and finding common ground. We are still surprised when people in different countries know our songs and sing along. It is an amazing feeling.
A great desire is to continue creating and performing music that connects people from different countries. To talk about unity through music.
The best concerts are when you come without any preconceived notions. Expect nothing, wait for nothing, just come and be together in the moment. Ok, of course we will also perform our most famous songs like "On Fire" and "Discoteque". That's all we'll say. This is an invitation!
Vaidotas: About dreams and obsession. When we perform at city festivals, there is always a room for the artists to rest and change in the closest building to the stage. Once it was the building of the Employment Service (Labor Exchange). It was a non-working day, but one employee was supposed to meet us and help us. She suddenly said with a smile "You, Vaidotas, have probably never been to such an institution". To her surprise, I replied that I had been relatively recently.
👉 In 2017, I decided to quit my full-time job, even though I only had savings for one month.
👉 I realized that I wouldn't achieve my dreams otherwise - working all day at a job I didn't really like, in the evenings I felt exhausted and didn't have the energy.
👉 I started devoting the most productive 8 working hours to pursuing my dream.
👉 However, the road to the dream is not short, so after a month my savings ran out.
👉 I received minimum unemployment benefits for 6 months.
👉 After 6 months, I did not return to the labor market. According to the law, my unemployment benefits also stopped.
👉 Sometimes I was supported by my girlfriend. She, like me, did not know what the future would hold. It did not give strength to the relationship.
👉 In 2018, THE ROOP shone brighter for the first time with the song "Yes, I Do".
👉 In 2019, it was very difficult with concerts and one member of the group left.
👉 In the same year, we started creating "On Fire" as an open statement that I don't feel too old and I'm not written off.
👉 In January 2020, I asked my friends to donate money for the filming of the video clip. Because I didn't even have enough money to eat, but we needed the video. Some friends did not believe and did not help. But there were enough of those who donated.
👉 We released "On Fire". At that time I had 150 euros in my bank account.
👉 Only from March 2020 I was able to live again without constant poverty.
It was only because of my obsession and faith (and some amazing friends) that I was able to keep going. Obsession is a great power! Obsession is the only way to achieve what many consider impossible. I wish everyone not to crush their dreams🙏
After the concert in Estonia, having managed to sleep in the hotel for only 3 hours, we went back to Lithuania to perform in Šilalė. The road was long, we drove for about 8 hours until we reached our destination. It seemed that we would not have enough strength for the whole show. We really felt tired. However, when we got on stage and received the crowd's confidence, our strength returned! Thank you, Šilalė, for transferring your energy and such unity!🖖❤️
The atmosphere at @intsikurmufestival was truly magical. A festival in the forest with illuminated paths and smiling people enchanted us. Thank you for the warm welcome, dear Estonia!❤️
Last weekend we had one of the most emotional concerts ever. We opened the second day of @summersoundlv in Liepaja, Latvia. And that means we were the first to play, during the day, on the main stage 🌞
We were already morally prepared that there would not be many people - after all, the time of the concert is not the most favorable. But when we went on stage - we couldn't believe our eyes - thousands of you came! And towards the end of the concert, there were more and more people! 🙌
And then you totally moved us. Yes, you literally moved us to tears. When, after one song, the whole crowd suddenly started chanting "Lietuva" (Lithuania), the skin on the hands shivered and the emotions immediately moistened the eyes and vibrated the vocal cords. It was so beautiful and unexpected!
Thank you, Latvia! Paldies, braliukas! We will remember your warmth for the rest of our lives❤️ We will definitely see each other again!

About the 8th song from our new album “Concrete Flower”. In the intro you can hear the waves recorded by Vaidotas in Fuerteventura. There’s an intriguing story behind this song.
While on the island, Vaidotas visited another city, known for its beautiful seaside. Strolling the streets in the heat called for a swim, so Vaidotas decided to go to the beach. Having forgotten his swimwear, Vaidotas went to a nearby nudist beach.
In there he spotted a girl who was smiling and playing with the waves so sincerely, without any shame of her nudity, without glancing at others, simply enjoying the sun and the water. It was like an overwhelming flash of freedom and openness, which people living more to the north, like Vaidotas, are still trying to learn.
Suddenly the girl approached him and asked for a lighter. Unfortunately, Vaidotas didn’t have one. The girl ran to other nudists and asked them the same.
Later, when leaving the beach, Vaidotas asked the girl why she would address him in English right away rather than Spanish, maybe he was Spanish? She answered with a smile “You look different”. Wishing each other a good day, they separated. Their paths never crossed again. On that evening Vaidotas wrote a song.
This song is not about love or romance. It is about a distant island, finding happiness in everyday life, the sense of freedom, and a force in each one of us capable of inspiring others. Without even knowing. We can all inspire each other.
It is YOU who make our every concert special! It is YOU who dance with us, laugh, dream, listen with your eyes closed... Thank YOU, our most wonderful listeners, who give meaning to our concerts. Wherever we perform, YOU welcome us with the best emotions! Here are some moments that the photographer managed to capture. Love! ❤️🙏🖖
