"On Fire" Won ESC National Selection 3 Years Ago Today

Exactly 3 years ago, on this day, we won the Lithuanian National Selection for Eurovision with the song “On Fire”. It was one of the most memorable events of our career! This was a major turning point. The chills go even now.

Back then, the pandemic seemed like a distant thing and we didn't know that we wouldn't be able to get on the big Eurovision stage with this song. Life is interesting because there are many unknowns

Vaidotas in the "Pabandom iš naujo" Semi-final 2 Jury

Tomorrow Vaidotas will participate in the second semi-final of "Pabandom iš naujo" as one of the jury members. We wish all participants to believe in themselves and don't forget to ask the TV viewers to vote for them!

Next week is the final and we will all find out who will represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool this year!

On Fire Deja Vu

The idea was to open the event by reminding the audience of the best songs selected over the past 5 years. It was such a big deja vu!!! The same arena where we were announced as the winners of the Eurovision selection, the same clothes and the song "On Fire"!

Overall, this year's M.A.M.A. Lithuanian National Music Awards were about friendliness! Artists did not spare each other compliments, support, and rejoicing in their achievements.

Maybe in the current context of global unrest, everyone has finally realized that it is not worth competing in vain, there is more meaning in friendships and mutual support.

New Skin

This is what breaking out of an old skin looks like. Not with the old one anymore, but still not completely with the new skin. This is how we would describe the current state of THE ROOP. Things are happening, it just takes time.

"Discoteque" turns 2 years old today 🖖

Today marks 2 years since we released the song and video for "Discoteque"! Today, we are happy that the song did not become a one-day thing. Until now, it is listened to and is still being discovered.

"Discoteque" traveled all over the world and settled in more than one heart.

"Discoteque" still holds the records of Lithuanian Youtube (fastest million views) and Spotify (Most streams per day).

The use of THE ROOP's faces and "Discoteque" in the Lithuanian tourism video clip was heard often and a lot in foreign media - this led to the formation of the country's good image and we were being declared as "Ambassadors of Lithuanian Tourism".

"Discoteque" provided the opportunity to travel around Europe and perform abroad during these two years.

The list could go on, but most of all we want to thank each of you for believing in us! We are grateful for that!

Two M.A.M.A 2022 Lithuanian Music Awards Nominations!

We are nominated in the Lithuanian M.A.M.A. music awards for 2 nominations!

The first nomination is for the music video of the year - "Let's Get Naked". This video is the most expensive in the history of our band. Why do we mention it? Because we always invest in our videos and want to create a World Class product. It really worked for us! Director Jonas Trukanas has created an amazing time travel to the past. So many actors nailed their roles to the best! We are very honored that an actor from Spain - Alberto Velasco - agreed to fly in to take part in the video. We are so grateful to the whole big team!🙏❤️

The second nomination is the group of the year. During this year, we really accomplished a lot: we released the album "Concrete Flower" and even 5 music videos. We had many concerts both in Lithuania and around Europe. When we think about this year, we can see that it was really special.

Thanks for these nominations and confirmation that we are on the right track. Sending lots of love to everyone!❤️

Vaidotas in Paris

Vaidotas: Just after arriving in Paris, I was recognized by a Brazilian girl that same evening. I continue to wonder. In a city of a million, with so many different faces, on the second day there was again a Frenchman who recognized me as THE ROOP.

But the third day is something special - four times! Why am I saying this? It's inspiring. I have been told more than once that Lithuanians have no chance of breaking through outside their country.

I need to understand myself and not give up when I think that I want to become truly international with the group. The road is not easy. But we are ready to go for it.

Well, now I'm sitting in the Pompidou cafe and I'm just smiling.
